About Uncle Bob

Uncle Bob is a character created by actor and filmmaker Zack Lawrence back in July of 2002.  He was part of Zack’s first video, The Zack Lawrence Show, a comedy-variety show inspired by the Red Skelton Show, that Zack shot in his bedroom with the help of his younger sister. (The footage is locked away in a secret vault for reasons of national security… okay, not really.  Being Zack’s first video, he’s extremely embarrassed by the horrible quality of it and almost never brings it out.)  Uncle Bob’s first appearance was in the skit “Uncle Bob’s Story Time”, where Uncle Bob told a horribly mangled version of “The Tortoise and the Hare”.  Subsequent episodes of the show found Uncle Bob interviewing guest stars and introducing other segments.

Since then, Uncle Bob has become Zack’s favorite character to portray.  A strange old man sporting a faux ‘coon-skin cap, a hideously discolored nose, and a love for shotguns, Uncle Bob has starred in several of Zack’s YouTube videos having various misadventures involving cooking, mowing lawns and going to carnivals.  Zack is always eager to introduce Uncle Bob to anyone he meets, and will often find excuses to bring him out for a receptive crowd.  Uncle Bob never fails to bring delight to everyone he meets (at least, it’s assumed so, since there haven’t been any restraining orders filed yet).
